Modern aesthetics meet industrial roots

Creating a refreshed concept for the identity of a modern pizzeria and burger bar nestled in the history of early 20th Century Woburn, Massachusetts

Brickyard is a rebranding concept of a local pizzeria and burger bar. Nestled in the historic center of Woburn, Massachusetts, Brickyard was recently built in 2010 and brings new life to a sleepy suburb with a beautiful patio, live music and a central location. My goal for this project was to weave together the early 1900s architecture and factory roots of Woburn with the ambience of a new and lively pizzeria.

Logo

For the logo I chose a font that had hints of both early 20th century industrial roots as well as a playful and modern quality. The signature colors of a vibrant orange and teal breathe life and energy into the brand.

Photography treatment was inspired by early 20th century factories with some added texture of a halftone filter screened with the signature colors. Since Brickyard was also a pizzeria, we also added rich food photography and photographs of the restaurant with the signature photo treatment to the website.
